The federal agency has stated that the 2005 through 2008 Quattroporte, 2008 Granturismo and Alfa Romeo 8C were assembled with certain parts that are crucial to the functioning of the rear tie rod assemblies that may have not been properly treated with anti-corrosion material.

This issue could cause the devices to fail due to a potential weakening of the tie rod assemblies. This problem could lead to a serious issue since the vehicle may be in use when the rear tie rod fails.
