An event was held at Autoland to teach parents how to safely deal with their children in and around cars.

According to safety advocates, parents usually ignore certain safety concerns. Technicians talked about several hazards infants and children of every age can be exposed to if they are left unattended inside of parked vehicles or around vehicles.

Blind spots could pose a risk since children could be hit if they play near a car. Parents were urged to never leave a child unattended near cars to avoid accidents. The proper usage of car safety seats and seat belts have also been addressed and risks associated with trunk entrapment were also discussed during the event.
