In Ann Arbor, an ongoing test of car-to-car communication system is being extended to motorcycles and bicycles, reports show.

According to  recent report, more vehicles will be included and engineers are looking forward to having the thousands of vehicles equipped with the communication technology ready to be tested. These devices will carry the communication devices in the near future, which will allow these vehicles to communicate with others in order to prevent accidents and keep occupants safe.

This technology is still being tested as a part of an $18 million program to develop the technology, reports have indicated. The United States Department of Transportation along the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute are working on this program.
