Black Boxes In Cars To Be Required By Law, The NHTSA Urges

Many critics have voiced their opinions regarding the mandate that would require 100% of all light-duty vehicles to be equipped with the event data recording technology known as black boxes.

According to recent articles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that these systems have already been in use by 96% of all vehicles that would be required by law to have the device.

Certain automakers were reportedly concerned about the driver’s privacy if the NHTSA’s call turned out to be signed into law.
