Driving Safety Could Be Improved By Modifying Dashboard Satnav Fonts

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and font firm Monotype Imaging Holdings have recently released a study that indicates driver safety and overall road safety can be greatly improved if automakers make a better use of more readable application of fonts.

Satellite navigation systems were used to test the theory that the time required by users to look at the devices on their vehicles’ dashboards could be shortened by a better selection of fonts.
