GPS Navigators Being Blamed For Certain Truck Crashes

While GPS navigators have proven to sometimes be a godsend for drivers, the Department Of Transportation in some older, eastern states like New York, claim their use costs federal agencies big time.

Truck drivers who end up using certain GPS devices often crash into low bridges causing costly repairs and traffic delays. Rather than buying the more expensive GPS navigators designed for truckers, many use cheaper models designed for cars. These inexpensive models don’t know details such as bridge height and guide the truck right into a crash.
