Ford has received top safety ratings in recent auto collision tests performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program.

The system tests vehicles for several impact tests like the frontal and side-impact tests and resistance to a rollover. Ford’s 2013 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid are equipped with a network of safety technologies that customizes the deployment of frontal airbags in the event of a side or frontal impact, making these vehicles safer. According to the news, Toyota’s Prius v and Camry have done poorly in frontal collision tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
