In Texas, there will be a new 41-mile toll road that goes from Austin to Seguin that will have a speed limit of 85 mph.

This new road speed limit is set to commence in November. Although the Government has decided on allowing this new speed limit, the action has raised some concerns with safety advocates and federal agencies such as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Texas Transportation Commission.

The Commission for the toll roads spokesperson, however, believes that safety lies within every single driver’s attitude and the speed limit should not have much to do with it. Some disagree and are fighting to keep the speed limit lower.
