Safety technology that is being developed by Toyota is being tested by the automaker in Japan, multiple reports show.

According to the news, the company has issued a report revealing that the car-to-car technology developed by Toyota has been tested in a facility the automaker built specifically for the testing of the auto communication system. The facility is the size of three baseball stadiums, reports show. According to the news, reporters got to witness the technology making it possible for the vehicle being tested avoid a collision with a pedestrian because the system warned the driver that a pedestrian was crossing the street ahead.

The automaker has claimed that 1.2 out of every accident happens at varied intersections due to the fact drivers are unaware of what lies ahead.
