Several news agencies have reported that Volvo and Ericsson have developed new touchscreen features for Volvo’s latest in-car infotainment system.

According to some experts, the new XC60 and S60 sedan will be equipped with a seven-inch screen that will offer navigation and other basic in-car capabilities along with a “Connected” system that will use Android to offer services like uneIn, Spotify and Parrot Maps.

Experts believe that the system can become somewhat confusing since the screen holds both functions, the physical function that is activated through buttons mounted to the steering wheel and dashboard and the touchscreen version that is activated once the driver clicks on the “Connected” entry.
