According to recent reports, a man from Virginia was arrested after he refused to sign a new contract for the vehicle he had recently purchased.

News agencies indicated that the man purchased a Chevrolet Traverse that was sold to him for $5,600 less than the vehicle actually costs. When the client refused to sign a new contract that would ultimately force him to pay the full price, the man decided to refuse, which prompted the dealership to contact the authorities.

According to the news, the dealership claimed the man had stolen the vehicle and the situation was only settled about four hours after the incident.

Reports show that the arrested customer is now suing the dealership and should file two lawsuits for malicious prosecution, abuse of process and defamation. According to the media, the suits are seeking a total of $2.2 million in damages.
