Ford Escape vehicles built by Ford could be under yet another recall announcement, reports have demonstrated.

These vehicles are under examination by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for factory problems regarding the throttles in these vehicles. More than 1.6 million units of these potentially defective Ford Escape SUVs were built and sold between 2006 and 2012.

Reports show that  if the issue is discovered to be common and even dangerous, Ford could be forced to recall the SUV models and have replacement throttles installed in all units of the affected vehicle at the company’s expense.

A steering problem with the Crown Victoria is being investigated by federal regulators because of a large amount of complaints regarding the steering column in these vehicles.

According to the news, the Ford company is fully cooperative and it’s helping with the investigation. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that the automaker would like to have the problem resolved as quickly as possible for the safety of the drivers of these vehicles.

Ford is recalling Escape SUV vehicles from model year 2013, which were equipped with 1.6 liter four cylinder engines.

The vehicles affected by this recall may experience a coolant leak, which could result in a fire. this issue affects 6,146 cars, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Ford previously issued two other recalls for this model: 8,266 were recalled for problems with carpet padding being too close to the vehicles; brake and gas pedals, and 9,320 models with 1.6 liter engine were previously recalled because the vehicles had fuel line issues.
