Toyota has combined resources with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute to study the influence parents have on their kids’ behavior and according to the study, teens are more likely to engage in distracted behaviors if their parents engage in distracted behaviors as well.

According to the research, groups of teens who assume their parents eat or drink while behind the wheel are 3.4 times more likely to end up doing the same.
