Inflatable Seat Belts Could Pose A Serious Injury Risk

The new types of inflatable seat belts introduced by Toyota in 2001 are starting to cause some problems for parents with young children, according to a series of news agencies.

They cannot be used with car safety seats and boosters because these inflatable seat belts can injure the child when deployed. Toyota is trying to educate parents on these dangers through media campaigns and informing new buyers of the issues with these safety devices.
