New Volvo V40 Equipped With Pedestrian Airbags Makes Debut

Media outlets have reported that the new Volvo V40 comes with seven sensors that are placed in the front of the vehicle in order to detect the presence of a pedestrian.

If the vehicle is about to collide and the sensor notices the presence of a person, a newly developed airbag module is deployed. This technology has been developed to ensure that the pedestrian is less likely to be injured in a collision.

According to the reports, this new technology could save lives and improve overall safety for pedestrians everywhere.
