Smart Cars have been the new target of skeptics, reports show. The ultra compact vehicles may be too small, which could possibly pose an injury risk to occupants, some say.

The model of the vehicle is equipped with a crash management system and 8 air bags, however, some say that doesn’t accomplish much in a rear-ending crash. According to skeptics, the rear seat is secured to the back of the vehicle leaving no room for safety if you get rear-ended.

If another larger vehicle rear-ends the smart car, the compact car would be pushed into the rear end of another vehicle, which could pose serious and even deadly risks. The skeptics are seeing a flaw in this vehicle’s design and regarding this model as unsafe.
