The automaker General Motors has issued a recall announcement regarding all units of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano over a possible injury risk.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that due to an issue that keeps the side frontal air bag’s shorting bar in intermittent contact with the air bag terminals, these devices could fail to deploy when most needed. In the event of an accident, the airbags may fail to deploy, increasing the risk of an injury.

General Motors has stated that all affected consumers are being promptly contacted and that all recalled vehicles are being promptly repaired for free. All inspections and repairs will be performed at authorized dealers.
