A recent accident sparked concerns regarding the airbags in certain models of Nissan Versa, reports show.

According to the media outlets covering this accident, a driver crashed his Nissan Versa and the airbags failed to deploy. This incident is one of the 35 complaints associated with defective or somewhat faulty airbags the automaker Nissan has received.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration decided to investigate these complaints to decide whether these vehicles should be recalled or not and if the problem is associated with pinched cables.

The federal agency should issue a statement regarding this issue with the 2012 Nissan Versa models soon.
