Several models of aerial device vehicles are being recalled over a possible issue with the vehicles’ outrigger cylinder piston retention system.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2002 thought 2009 AH75/85/100 and HL125 models manufactured by Altec were equipped with rods that may protrude beyond the enclose of the chassis, which could lead to the loosening of the rod while the vehicle is in use. If this happens, the outrigger could strike a nearby object or person, which could lead to injuries or property damage.
