Multiple news agencies have indicated that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that DB9, V8 and V12 Vantage, Rapide, and Virage vehicles manufactured by Aston Martin are being recalled over a possible issue with the throttle pedal arm these vehicles were equipped with.

According to the federal agency, the company decided to recall these vehicles after it was noted that the engine would return to idle in case the throttle pedal arm breaks while the vehicle is in use, causing the driver to lose control over the vehicle’s speed.

The news sources covering this recall have indicated that at this moment, the recall notification schedule hasn’t been provided. Aston Martin should soon replace the throttle pedal assemblies for free at authorized dealers.
