BMW Motorcycles Recalled, Brakes Could Fail Unexpectedly

Motorcycles manufactured by BMW are being recalled over a possible brake failure issue, which could lead to a crash.

BMW decided to recall all 2007 and 2008 models of the K1200 R, K1200 S and K1200 R Sport because the brake fluid reservoir these vehicles are equipped with could cause the fluid to foam under certain circumstances. The rider may not be aware of the problem and the foaming of the fluid could lead to a failure of the brake system.

If the braking capabilities in these motorcycles are compromised, the vehicles could crash as a result.

Riders are being warned by BMW of the issue and the recall campaign is set to begin in November.
