General Motors has issued a recall announcement with the help of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in order to prevent a potential collision.

According to an official release issued by the federal agency, GM has recalled all units of the 2013 Cadillac SRX and Buick LaCrosse, which could present an accident risk to consumers since the transmission may shift to Sport mode, which represents the removal of the transmission-related engine braking effect.

If this occurs, the vehicle may lose its braking effect and rollaway while stopped. To prevent incidents and injuries, GM will be performing repairs and inspections for free.
