According to the latest reports issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, General Motors decided to issue a recall announcement regarding all units of the 2010 through 2012 GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado over a possible issue with these vehicles’ hood latches.

According to the firm, these vehicles may have been manufactured without the secondary hood latch, which could pose a risk in case the primary latch is not engaged properly. According to the firm, if the latch is not engaged, the hood could open unexpectedly and pose a visibility issue to the driver.

To prevent incidents, the company has issued this recall promptly. All affected vehicles will be repaired for free.
