After Honda stated that it would be addressing a roll-away issue associated with several of its models of vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued the recall announcement concerning all units of the 2003 and 2004 Odyssey and Pilot models and all units of the 2003 through 2006 Acura models.

Honda has stated that to prevent further incidents associated with the voluntary roll-away of these vehicles after the driver takes the key out of the ignition, an updated shift interlock lever or a new ignition switch will be installed for free in the affected cars.
