The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for all 2002 Porsche Carrera 911 vehicles after it was noted that these vehicles were equipped with seat belts that lack important features like the ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor) function.

Without this function, these vehicles may fail to allow drivers to properly and safely install child restraint systems in their vehicles, which may pose a serious hazard to young children.

All vehicles affected by this recall will have the seat belts replaced for free, the federal agency stated.
