The automaker Nissan has recalled over 13,900 units of 2012 and 2013 Altima vehicles due to a manufacturing issue that could eventually cause motorists to lose control of the car.

To prevent crashes, the automakers decided to issue this recall in order to have all affected vehicles repaired. Car owners with the 2012 and 2013 models of Altima should have the defective bolts tightened to the manufacturer’s torque specifications for free in the future. The automaker will be notifying affected owners on October 29th, however, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has encouraged affected owners to contact the manufacturer if they have any questions regarding this recall.
