Scooters Recalled Over Possible Crash Risk

The company Yamaha has issued a recall for all units of the 2009 YW125 scooters, also known as Zuma 125. These vehicles were equipped with certain fuel pump components that could increase the risk of a crash since it could increase the risk of the rider experiencing an engine stalling.

According to the federal agency, the company will be repairing all affected vehicles in order to prevent an accident that could occur due to the stalling of the engine as a result of a limited fuel supply. Yamaha has stated that, because components of the internal fuel pump may have not been properly cleared during assembly.

To prevent accidents, recalled scooter owners are being asked to respond to this recall announcement as soon as possible.
