The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that certain trailers have been recalled over a potential issue that could lead to an accident.

According to the official report, Fontaine Trailer Company, dba Fontaine Heavy-Haul, has issued a recall for all units of its 2013 Renegade LX40 and LXT40 trailers over a possible failure to meet carrying load standards.

The company has stated that the gooseneck portion of the trailer is equipped with combo eye plates that could crack. If that occurs, the deck of the trailer may tilt and cause an accident.

The company has claimed it will be notifying all owners. For the full recall announcement, follow this link.
