The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported recently that the company Chrysler has issued a recall for several trucks over an issue that could cause the driver to lose control over the vehicle.

The federal agency has stated that these vehicles may have not been equipped with crucial components that help support the rear axle pinion nut. If the adhesive patch is not present, the pinion nut may become loose, which could cause the axle to lock up, increasing the risk of an accident.

Models affected by this recall include the 2009 through 2012 Dodge Dakota, Ram 1500, Aspen and Durango. These vehicles should be fully repaired for free.
