Your Jeep Compass May Havee Been Affected by This Recall

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that Chrysler has recently issued a recall for all units of the 2010 through 2012 Jeep Patriot and Compass after it was noted that these vehicles could pose severe injury risks to occupants.

According to the agency, the recall was deemed necessary because the issue with the software these vehicles were equipped with could result in a failure of air bag deployment. The software error could also pose a risk since the seat belt pre-tentioners may not work correctly when needed.

Passengers and drivers present in the vehicle at the time of a rollover are the most vulnerable in case of a software error.
